i honestly never knew this. Veganism is so very distinct from vegetarianism. One is a lifestyle that prohibits even consuming ALL animal-related products (yes that includes your leather shoes) while the other is just a strict dietary restriction. I can safely say that i will never end up in either camps and might even start my own Carnivorous movement allowing only a meat-dominant diet. But really, i and many others have become jaded by all these vegans and vegetarians who pledge to stay off animal products and last only a week before headlines report Celebrity A is back at barbeques. What i feel would be the most fruitful way to bring awareness to animal rights is for these numerous ‘dinner-table activists’ to write and speak more on inhumane animal abuse in rural parts of China for example rather than perform their own quiet protest that would likely make no difference but assuage one own’s guilt.
